CEDAR Audio USA expands its dealer network in Nashville

8 April 1998

CEDAR Audio USA has appointed Trew Audio, based in Nashville, as its Tennessee dealer for all CEDAR's audio restoration products. The appointment is a direct consequence of the positive reception given to the products after extensive demonstrations of the CEDAR Series X processors to a number of Nashville's leading CD mastering studios.

Glen Trew, President, said, "CEDAR is a necessary tool for many of my customers. Indeed, Nashville has been a home for the more expensive CEDAR Production System for nearly seven years, and Masterfonics regularly clean up and rescue projects for artists such as Steely Dan, The Who, Joe Walsh, Patsy Cline, and George Jones, plus shows including Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita. But, understandably, many record companies prefer not to advertise their need for this type of technology, and often its excellent work goes unrecognised. Now, with the affordable Series X modules, we can address a far wider clientele, and I expect to see many Nashville studios installing CEDAR over the next few months. And, stepping beyond the straightforward restoration processes - declicking, decrackling and dehissing - there are CEDAR's new algorithms on the CEDAR for Windows system. In particular, I see Debuzz - which removes many forms of camera noise - generating a great deal of interest in the broadcast and movie industries."
