Since its launch in 2012, the DNS 8 Live has proved to be a remarkable success, widely adopted by the live sound and broadcast industries while scooping numerous awards along the way.
Today, we are proud to announce the introduction of an updated DNS 8 Live that, in response to customers' requests, offers fail-safe audio bypass. The bypass is implemented in the form of hardware relays that immediately connect the inputs to the outputs in the event of a power failure or other significant disruption. This means that the DNS 8 Live can now be installed with confidence in critical paths within the broadcast chain.
Designed specifically for live use, the DNS 8 Live dialogue noise suppressor offers near-zero latency and is suitable for use in all live situations; not just live-to-air broadcasting, but also live sound in venues such as theatres, concert halls, conferences venues, and places of worship. Recognising that many people will want to use it where there's no ready access to mains power, we added a standard 4-pin 12VDC input, while remote control is provided by the DNS 8 RC software that allows users to control it using laptops, iPads and other devices that support common web browsers.
The DNS 8 Live (rev 2) is immediately available.
Upgrades to existing units are available on a return-to-factory basis for £250 plus shipping and taxes where applicable.
