The Hyper-Resolution Analyser EQ
Blade EQ is a fully integrated precision spectrum analyser and IIR EQ, designed to solve your frequency problems with surgical accuracy. It enables you to zoom further into the frequency spectrum than a normal analyser - from the full range down to 20Hz wide at any frequency - revealing narrow resonances, tonal artefacts, and problem frequencies that, at low and mid frequencies, go unseen in traditional analyser views.
With Qs of up to 100, plus high-order low/high pass filters and shelves, Blade enables surgical EQ adjustments, helping you to target specific frequencies while leaving the surrounding audio untouched.
Equalise with Surgical Precision
Blade features 12 filters – a high-pass filter, a low-frequency shelf, eight parametric (‘bell curve’) filters, a high-frequency shelf and a low-pass filter. You can activate each of these individually and, as well as being able to control the parameters via the dials on the user interface, you can use the mouse to drag the frequency, gain, Q and slope (as appropriate) of each of them without introducing glitches into the audio. It is fast and intuitive, and gives you maximum control with a minimum of fuss. Blade is also completely free of the pre-echo that occurs with some other EQs, preserving waveforms more effectively.
High Q Factor
Each of Blade's 'bell curve' filters offers an extremely high Q of up to 100, and a gain boost or reduction of up to 50dB, enabling precise tonal control.

Hyper-Resolution Analyser
The unique spectrum analyser in Blade is not an FFT analyser, which is what you will find in other audio workstations and plug-ins. These suffer from poor resolution (which is especially limiting at low frequencies) and are not suitable for precise audio analysis.
The Blade analyser is more akin to those found in expensive, dedicated signal analysers and electronic design laboratories, and offers a maximum resolution of 0.02Hz at any frequency. This allows you to identify unwanted tones with almost unparalleled accuracy, and then deal with them as you see fit.
