Although it has uses elsewhere in CEDAR Cambridge, the Mixer was designed specifically to allow users to monitor the signals obtained from Isolate.
All eight input channels are directed to the mixer core where they are mixed down to two channels in the usual fashion. You can determine which two channels are used to carry the output from the mixer core. The signals presented to any of the other six channels may be passed directly to their corresponding outputs. If you have a two-channel monitoring system, this architecture allows you to hear the (up to) eight-channel output from Isolate, mixing the speech on all of the channels to monitor a complete conversation.
The gain, pan, solo and mute controls for each of the mixer channels act in their conventional fashions.
