Following the successful introduction of CEDAR's Declick and Decrackle processes on the AMS Neve AudioFile SC, the companies have agreed to develop a Dehisser to complement these and further expand the restoration capabilities of the range.
CEDAR's Managing Director, Gordon Reid explains, "It has always been our intention to provide a full suite of processes for AMS Neve, and we look forward to expanding the range running on the AudioFile SC as well as other AMS Neve platforms. We hope that CEDAR Dehiss will be available shortly, and are already looking at some additional collaborations with AMS Neve for later in the year."
CEDAR Audio and AMS Neve first announced their intentions to collaborate in September 2001. The first results of this were shown at the Los Angeles AES Convention in September 2002, when AMS Neve demonstrated both CEDAR Declick and Decrackle running on the AudioFile SC. The first sale of a CEDAR restoration process running on an AudioFile SC was concluded in January 2003, and supplied to CBS News in New York, NY.
