The CEDAR Awards 2000

The CEDAR Award 2000

19 February 2000 - 108th AES Convention, Paris

CEDAR Audio is please to announce the launch of the CEDAR Awards 2000. This will be the third year of the Awards and, as before, there will be six of these, five of which recognise outstanding contributions in the field of audio restoration. Nominations are invited in each of the following categories:

  • CD Remastering from a Modern Recording (post 1949)
  • CD Remastering from a Vintage Recording (pre 1950)
  • Remastering of a Film Soundtrack
  • Audio Restoration for Broadcast Use
  • Audio Restoration for Forensic Use

CEDAR will also present a special Award to one of its dealers to recognise exceptional performance over the past 12 months.

Nominations for the Awards are invited from all interested parties, and candidates may propose themselves without prejudicing their chance of success. Clive Osborn will be overseeing the nomination process, and he will be pleased to answer all questions relating to this. The closing date for nominations is 30 June 2000.

Osborn comments, "We originally introduced the Awards because we wanted to thank our customers and colleagues who, through their efforts, have brought CEDAR the acclaim and recognition that it now enjoys. We were delighted with the volume of nominations, especially in 1999, and we are honoured that our customers and dealers care about the Awards as much as we hoped they would."
