Nominations are invited for the CEDAR Awards 2001

CEDAR Audio is pleased to announce the launch of the CEDAR Awards 2001, which will recognise outstanding achievement in the field of audio restoration. Nominations are invited in the following categories:

  • CD Remastering from a Modern Recording (post 1949)
  • CD Remastering from a Vintage Recording (pre 1950)
  • Remastering of a Film Soundtrack
  • Audio Restoration for Broadcast Use
  • Audio Restoration for Forensic Use

This will be the fourth year that CEDAR presents The Awards. Past winners have included Skywalker Sound - The Star Wars Trilogy; Jon Astley - The Led Zeppelin BBC Sessions on Atlantic Recordings; Ted Kendall - The Goon Show #17 'The Silent Bugler'; BMG New York - Elvis Presley: The Essential '70s Masters; Abbey Road Studios - Franz Lehar 'The Merry Widow'; and The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation - The CBC Millennium Project.

CEDAR's Marketing Manager, Deborah Coral, comments, "The CEDAR Awards are a great opportunity to discover on which projects CEDAR is being used. It's really rewarding to keep in close contact with our customers, and to be able to say 'thank you', as it's through their efforts that CEDAR is recognised to be the world's leading manufacturer of audio restoration systems."

The rules for the CEDAR Awards can be obtained from CEDAR Audio, and all nominations must arrive before 30th June 2001.
